Background

Registered Psychologist, B.A. (Psych), GradDipSci (Psych), MPsych (Child & Family), MAPS Anna has a history working as a School Psychologist, Pre-marriage Educator, and community services counselling. She particularly enjoys working with young people under the age of 25. Her expertise is in supporting parents, children, and adolescents to manage and overcome troubles associated with school refusal and separation anxiety. She has experience in a range of settings including primary and secondary schools, and a specialist School Refusal Unit. As a parent, dealing with our children’s and adolescents’ anxieties can feel challenging. You may often feel overwhelmed, powerless, confused, or frustrated. Managing school reluctance or refusal is a team effort and involves families, schools, and the student themselves. Anna can assist you and your child to become confident in their ability to cope with school, to overcome anxiety when it arises, and work to change your family dynamic from a constant battleground to a place where encouragement and positive interactions happen regularly.

If your child or adolescent is experiencing the following, then discuss making an appointment with Anna:
